It's a good thing somebody is still keeping an eye on that Matt Drudge character. In Drudge world, if you can't find a real expert to give you a supportive quote, you just invent one ...

In Matt Drudge's story filed today ...

http://www.drudgereport.com/jill.htm

... he runs the following quote:

 >"What the NEW YORK TIMES is doing with its sin of omission concerning
 >the Drudge case is no doubt a form of libel of its own, corporate
 >news slander of the highest degree," said Professor Emeritus Andrew
 >Breitbart of the Cashmere Institute of Media Studies.

Andrew Breitbart maintains the Drudge Report when Drudge is out of town
and is a longtime friend of Matt Drudge. He's also a trustee of the
Matt Drudge Defense Fund. I can't find any evidence on the Web that the
Cashmere Institute of Media Studies actually exists.

I seem to be one of the only people on Earth who still cares enough to
document Drudge's crimes against journalism, but I'm passing this along
to show that he's still as creative with the rules of the profession
as he was when he cited non- existent domestic violence court records
against Sidney Blumenthal in 1997.
